A corpse causing pungent odor was found inside a nipa hut around 6:35 PM in Brgy. San Vicente, Urdaneta City on September 11.
Investigators disclosed that the purgent odor detected by Aniceto Rosimo Esteves was that of his sister-in-law Barbara Rosimo Saldivar’s body, a 50-year old and a resident of Zone 1, Brgy. San Vicente, Urdaneta City.
When he tried to locate where odor was coming from, he entered the nipa hut and saw his sister-in-law lying in her own blood and her body beginning to decompose.
According to Esteves, the victim has been bedridden for 35 years and was living together with her brother who was mentally ill.
Meanwhile, technical assistance from SOCO team was requested for the crime scene processing.
