JERICO DIOQUINO
One of Koko the Gorilla's favorite musicians, Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers came to visit him in Woodside, California. Flea is studier and teacher of music. This week, he hung out with Koko the “talking” primate to help the Gorilla Foundation raise money.
Koko was thrilled by the mellow sounds and a jamming session followed with the primate strumming Flea's bass.
“This is just the greatest thing that could ever happen. This is the day that I will never forget in my life.” says Flea in a video he posted after his visit at The Gorilla Foundation
The organization's mission is to learn about the gorillas by communicating with them, and applying their knowledge to advance great ape conversation, education, care and empathy. Following the surprising music session, the org promised “future collaborations” between the bassist and the “talking” primate.
Flea shared more photos of his encounter with Koko on his social media accounts in the hope of encouraging fans to purchase a Koko shirt to help enhance the ape sanctuary.
