SWEETIE FAITH PEPITO
I open my eyes and see you there. You‘re smiling genuinely as the kids listen to your lecture. You sing a happy song and the kids follow.
“Teacher!” I hear the pupils call you.
I took my phone out and tried to get a picture of you talking to those little kids.
Sometimes, I wonder how our kids would look like if ever we have them in the future.
But that future is no longer possible for me. Seeing you happy now makes me not regret what I decided a long time ago. I’m happy as long as you’re happy.
You’re writing on the blackboard while I fought the urge not to approach you.
I leaned on the wall when you turned your back on the board. I hope you didn’t see me. I look like a psycho trying to stalk you right now but I don’t care. I’ll do this everyday if I can.
“Excuse me, are you alright, sir?” A woman approached me when she saw me struggling to breathe.
I nodded my head told her I was fine.
I am fine. I will be fine. Farewell, my love.
